Double Chocolate Nutella Cookies ❤️

Hey guys!

Hope your Tuesday is going great. So yesterday I had a massive and I mean MASSIVE Nutella craving … God have mercy.

I took to the net to find some kind of Nutella containing recipe and found one that looked perfect! It’s literally the easiest receive I’ve ever followed and the cookies turned out perfect first time round.

So for this recipe I used :

  1. 1 large egg
  2. 1 cup of plain flour
  3. 1 big jar of Nutella

First of all I set the oven to 180C.

I then lined two baking trays with grease proof paper.

Then I got a large bowl, I mixed one egg and the Nutella together. It can all get a bit sticky but just STICK with it, haha no pun intended.

I then added the flour and mixed it all together really well.

I then took one baby spoon of the ready mixture and placed it in my hand, I rolled this into a small ball and then flattened the mixture out.

Next I set this on the baking pan and added a small spoon of Nutella to the centre of the cookie.

I then repeated the step of rolling the mixture into a small ball and flattening out. I set this second cookie over the top of the drop of Nutella and cookie. This formed a double cookie with gooey centre.

Repeat these steps to make multiple cookies. This mixture should make 16-18 cookies.

Cook in the oven for 6 minutes.

And voila perfect double chocolate Nutella cookies with a gooey centre. Serve with ice cream while still hot for extra deliciousness. Yummy..

Let me know if any of you out there try this receive, I’d love to see pictures too. 🙂

Im A Genie In A Bottle

Dont quite know how the title of this post relates in anyway to what the content actually is… but how and ever ! haha

So I thought id share with you an extremely long-overdue post , my travels to ‘The Land Of The Kiwis’ or most commonly known as New Zealand.I left on my journey to this amazing beautiful Island in 2011 and had the privilege of seeing some of the worlds most beautiful sights.

603503_332199906870312_1656547310_n

I stayed with a family member for the first part of my travels in Auckland. He lived in the suburbs as they call it out there and it literally resembled something out of ‘Neighbours’. It was so sunny, so colorful and so bright! Being from Ireland (where the sun is a rare great uncle you see once a year drunk at a family wedding) you would automatically be weary of yourself in a place like this, almost expecting some type of serial killing clown to pop out and tell you your really in some sort of twisted evil fun-house! Or maybe thats just my opinion haha… Anyway, Auckland is wonderful, by far it was my favorite of the other citys I visited on this Island. Auckland demonstrates four seasons every day, with the weather changing from roasting, to drizzle-rain, on to cold and finally mediocre wind storms. This is all before 12 noon by the way. Crazy crazy.

The city itself is amaazing, its massive.Theres endless things to do and see. However as Prostitiution is aloweed in New Zealand you would frequently see night walkers on the sides of the streets, which for me put a dampner on the whole city life aspect. A lot of Asians go to New Zealand, particularly Auckland so there are streets you can walk down where you will feel like your in some kind of retro music video with the Asians amazing animé style of fashion.

There are numerous places to eat out as well, youll never be stuck for lovely food. The beaches in Auckland, although very crowded at times are beautiful. Well worth braving the traffic and crowds!

The next destination I went to was Wellington, I didnt see much beauty in it although im sure theres plenty. It was raining the whole time I stayed and the city is very buisness oriantated with massive skyscrapping office block buildings.

528749_277229199034050_1761774977_n

I then moved onto the South Island. I drove through many of the towns and villages on my way to where I needed to go.Here I stayed in Queensland it is honestly the most beautiful place I have ever seen. It is so tourist oriantated and very expensive but it is just gorgeous. If I could have lived anywhere it would have been there.

Next I went to live in Alexandra Queenstown – 1hour away from the beautiful Queenstown. It was a modest place but I really hated it there. It was extremely isolated and lonely. I got the barron kind of feeling from the area.

Finally I travelled to Duneden and Christchurch before making my way back to Auckland and then home.

Duneden was lovely, its a more ‘normal’ city to what im used to. Its the students hub for universitys and studying. It was all green here with fields and fields of sheep. Christchurch had just recently been hit by an earthquake and most of the city was going through repairs as it was still quite damaged. So I didnt get many photos of the area.

And that was my experience of New Zealand. A beautiful vast country with mountains of variety!

Life Update

149415_277226192367684_1771140165_n

I thought it was time for a little life update as so much has changed over the past few months. For one I’m no longer living at home, I’m living with my super amazing boyfriend and his wonderful family. I’m loving every single minute of it ! My own family have moved to another county and are set to move country to France now in March 2015. I wish them all the luck in the world despite our differences. I’m now on speaking terms with them after the thunder storm of a year that was 2014. Thank god for little blessings.

At the moment i’m working part-time in a local shop in my teeny tiny town. I’m continuing to search for my ideal career goal, but for now i’m having fun with blogging and I couldn’t be happier. On the makeup artistry front i’m continuing to work professionally, however for me its not the be all and end all of what I want to be successful in. Sure its a crazy fun occupation but to be honest its not enough for me. I want to succeed in numerous avenues and so I’m keeping my eyes peeled for my next big adventure.

My love life and personal life is great. I adore living with my boyfriend. Hes the best thing that has happened to me and the kindest soul I’ve ever met. Bar his mother of course 😉 My friends are all fabulous as usual and all achieving and succeeding in there chosen avenues. Yay girl power!

I’ve got very into Angel readings and learning about guardian angels in general over the last while. Its so interesting I cant tell you how much I’m loving it. Hopefully it will bring me to some great places in the future. I would love to discover more about it along with energy in crystals as soon as I can. That’s definitely one of my goals for 2015.

My baby aka my bichon freise is continuing to be the cheeky monkey he always is, no changes there then.

Overall i’m loving life at the minute and this crazy world we live in.

New Years Resolutions

Whether you are a believer in the whole ‘new year, new you ‘ motto, each and every one of us want to improve on our selfs in some way or another during the year. I for one always want to improve myself. It may be in the form of a new skill, a new hairstyle or on myself personally but I’ll always try to achieve this goal. So with all that said my New Years resolution is to stay happy, healthy and grow in confidence. A mammoth task ahead ,especially the healthy bit! No more late night pizza..ahhhh.

A moment on the lips, a lifetime on those hips !!

I miss saturated fats and artificial sweeteners already.

……mmmm fish and chips…dreaming dreaming.

But in all seriousness goodbye shitty 2014 and hello brand new sparkly clean fresh slatted 2015! 2014 was the worst year I’ve ever had personally but I ended up opening up a brand new future for myself living with my new/real family and enjoying every minute of it. Like they always say you can choose your friends but not your family! I plan on accomplishing my goals through a number of ways. First of the healthy lifestyle, I’ve signed up to a nutrition plan and exercise regim with the body coach over at thebodycoach.co.uk #LeanIn2015 on Instagram. Check him out he’s amazing! Then the confidence will come from myself. I’ve started repeating confidence boosting statements to myself every morning. A favourite of mine is ‘believe and you will achieve’. I also repeatedly tell myself I’m a strong person when times get tough. As for the happy part of my resolution I plan on sticking to the goal of doing at least one thing each week that makes me truly happy and making the most of each day. Trying to see the happy things that occur each day.

Whether you believe in New Years resolutions or not, a new year opens up the possibility of looking to the future, embracing the positive and forgetting the past. Life’s what you make it. Let’s stop waiting for our life’s to happen, waiting for dreams to come true and holding on to the thoughts of ‘what if?’ . Life is in the now. The only way to creating a successful future is creating a successful you.

So come on 2015, come at me. This year I promise to make you an amazing one.

Makeup of the day !

Today I had the privilege of doing some of my boyfriends relatives makeup and I was so super excited ! Any excuse to take out the makeup box!

I decided to do big dramatic eyes, emphasising this beautiful lady’s green eyes ! During this makeup look her eyes changed from a light almost translucent green colour to a deep emerald green .

Before :

After:

IMG_1530.JPG

For this look I used two shades , all from my Inglot palette. I used a burnt orange shade and a cranberry shade that I’ve used in my previous posts ‘burnt orange eye’ and ‘cranberry and brown smoky eye ‘ . For more information on the colours view these posts 🙂

As a technique I used what I always do , my cut crease with transition techniques. I use the burnt orange as an all over lid shade an the cranberry as my cut crease/transition shade.

I applied gel eyeliner to the top lash line and water line and I used ardell ‘Demi wispies’ lashes for extra glamour and volume. I always use duo eyelash glue as it dries super fast and is perfect for this look.

When doing my base I used a heavy contour as my model has amaaazinnnggg bone structure! So obviously I couldn’t wait to emphasise this!

To create the big lip look I slightly exaggeratedly models natural lip line to create those gorgeous looking lips with out all the needles haha . I then applied lipstick and lipgloss in a pinky/purple shade.

And this is the finished look 🙂
Hope you enjoyed an don’t forget to get in touch ! X

Cranberry & Smokey Brown Eye Makeup Look .

Hey Guys!

Over the week I went up to Dublin and bought some new makeup goodies, I had to get into Inglot and was in makeup HEAVEN! Inglot honestly has the most amazing pigments EVER.

So anyway this look is based all around my new BEAUTIFUL shades. Hey thuuuur!

photo 3 (3)

For this look I used shades 341, 450 and 329.

20141127_144537    (shade 341)

20141127_144210   (shade 450)

20141127_144435    (shade 329)

Swatches of these beautiful shades !

20141127_144626

I started of this look with shade no.341. I packed this shade onto my lid, starting at my lash line and heading up into my eyebrow. This is a perfect matte base colour and goes so so well with the cranberry colour (shade 450 as its rich in pinky pigments)! I packed this shade on using my sponge tip brush from my Rebel 66 makeup brushes.

Next I took my Sigma flat shader brush and drew a cut crease with the cranberry-450 shade. I then blended this upwards and out using my Sigma E40 fluffy brush. Making sure to BLEND BLEND BLEND.

I then took my Rebel 66 110 brush and applied the dark smokey brown shade-329 into my crease (my inner inner crease not my new crease created by my 450 shade!) and slightly above it, this created a lovely dark look with tons of depth and highlighted the lovely cranberry shade perfectly as a transition shade. I repeated this step three times as I wanted a lot of depth and warmth to the eye.

I then took my Sigma flat shader brush again and re-applied the cranberry shade to the top of the dark smokey-329 shade. Just enough to blend out from the eye, so as the cranberry wouldn’t loose its intensity.

Next I took my pencil shader brush from Sigma and I applied some of the 329 colour and the 450 shade to my lower lash line, blending these shades out and in towards the inner corner of the eye.

I then applied gel eye-liner,using ‘Fuschi’a-gel liner in ‘chocolate’ to my upper lash line  and finished with some mascara.’ (I find chocolate to be the most flattering shade on all eye colours as its not too much and it blends with any eye shadow beautifully! You also don’t come away looking like a complete Vampire ha).

Finally I took my highlight shade ‘Dust’ from my Naked 3 palette and applied it to the brow bone. This is a gorgeous highlighting shade, so flattering and draws attention directly to the eyes.

And voilà a lovely warm wintry eye look filled with colour, vibrancy and most importantly DEPTH.

Thank you Inglot for coming into my life with these AMAZING shades haha.

Make Blue Eyes POP

Hey there, hey there !

It’s nearly Friday waaaahoooo. I can’t wait for this weekend to roll around because im getting to start a Bridal Make-up course this Sunday and i am so so so excited! Ive done other makeup courses in the past but this is a top-up and ‘perfecting’ type course for Make-up artists. I’ll definitely let you all know about it and ill have a review up on new makeup brushes im trying out as well. I’ll let you all know the brand and types very very soon so hold on to your hats!

Anyway this post is based on big sparkly BLUE eyes. I know so many people with blue eyes who never ever use these colours which completely confuses me because hello its the most flattering colour EVER.

As you can see here below this is my gorgeous model 🙂

10645071_685336624j889970_1510572092637465212_n

Above I have used Gold tones on her eyes and darkened the outer corners using bronze tones.

This is the easiest way of making blue eyes pop! It’s so simple and can be achieved using only two shades.

  1. Firstly I used a tan coloured/ warm bronze matte shade all over the lid, emphasising the outer crease specifically. I blended this shade all over the lid using a fluffy blender brush. If you can’t find an eyeshadow in this shade bronzer is perfect to use also.
  2. Next I applied gold pigmented eyeshadow all over the lid and inner corners with a flat shader brush. I re-applied this shade until I had the depth I wanted, switching between my shader brush and my fluffy blending brush to apply and blend the shade into the warm bronze matte shade.
  3. Finally I applied liquid liner to her lid and a kohl pencil to her water line and tight line. All in the shade ‘black’.
  4. I completed this look with lashings of mascara.

(For this look I used products that are all found in a drugstore/pharmacy, these shades are so easy to find. 🙂 )

My next look was a bit different but the colours used still made my models eyes pop beautifully !

10622742_68533668822k3297_4028467004359377053_n

The shades I used in this look where a little bit harder to find. I mainly used Urban Decay. However these shades are easy to find in christmas eyeshadow palettes and the likes (Bonus – Christmas season and all that ) !

  1. Firstly I began with my over lid shade , using Urban Decays -Naked palette 3! I used Nooner for this and followed the same steps as I did in the look above. Blending the shade forwards and back until I was happy with the consistency and depth.
  2. Next I went in with Urban Decay again, using the same Naked 3 palette and for this I used ‘Blackout’. This is a rich blackcurrant shade with plenty of pigment and sparkle! (Perfect for Christmas girls). I used my Sigma pencil precision brush for this application. Creating an almond shape as I went along as my models eyes were between droopy and deeply set! As before I blended this shade out with my fluffy blender brush. However as my model had a specific eye shape I had to make sure to blend upwards at all times and slightly inwards to pick the eyes up so to speak.
  3. For the lower lash line I applied the gold glittery shade I used in the first look. This was Barry M’s sparkle dust in ‘Gold’.
  4. This eyeshadow is extra pigmented and therefore take care with fallout when using this beautiful colour.
  5. I then went in with the tan/bronze colour I used in the last look also. I used my ‘Hoola by Benifit’ Bronzer for this. Best of both worlds Heh.
  6. I blended these two shades out with my E40 Sigma blender brush.
  7. Finally I went in with my NYE liquid liner to the top lash and my MAC ‘Feline’ Kohl pencil on the tight line and waterline.
  8. I completed this look with lashings of mascara.

And that’s it guys. A simple and easy way to make Blue Eyes Pop ! 🙂 Hope you enjoyed and don’t forget to comment, follow and like !
